You are never strong enough that you don’t need help
César Chávez

César Chávez was an American farmworker, labor leader, and civil rights activist who co-founded the National Farm Workers Association with Dolores Huerta in 1962. The union later merged with the Agricultural Workers Organizing Committee to form the United Farm Workers, organizing strikes and boycotts—including the famous Delano grape strike—that won major rights for farmworkers. This poster featuring a quote by Chávez was created in 2017. In 2026, allegations surfaced that Chávez sexually abused Huerta and other women and minors, leading tributes and celebrations in his name to be removed, renamed, or canceled.
