A writer, social justice facilitator, activist, healer, and doula living in Detroit, brown has written extensively on sex, healing, self-care, trauma, and science fiction, in a style often described as belonging to the Afrofuturism genre. In 2017 she published Emergent Strategy, which she describes as a “radical self/planet help book.” The quote featured on this poster comes from her 2019 book Pleasure Activism: The Politics of Feeling Good.
